The Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, 69, and Queen Noor of Jordan, a 57 year-old widow of the late King Hussein of Jordan, are dating, according to Semana magazine, a Mexican publication. Sources close to the couple affirm that they are soul mates and were born to be together.

Carlos Slim, the second richest man in the world, is in love. The 69 year-old Mexican billionaire is giving love a second chance. According to Semana magazine, he is dating Queen Noor of Jordan, a 57 year-old widow of the late King Hussein of Jordan.

Slim, who is also a widow, has been alone for many years and according to people close to him, he was suffering from the death of his wife, Soumaya. After her lost, he has been extremely dedicated to his businesses and his career as an entrepreneur.

Semana magazine reveals that Slim and Noor of Jordan recently spent a romantic weekend in an exclusive and private resort at “Las Villas of Cape Cana” in the Dominican Republic. People familiar with the news confirmed that they have been dating for at least one year and have been traveling incognito around the world. For the past year, they have used private jets lent by friends and reserved hotels under the name of Slim’s companies.

Instead of having dinner in restaurants or public events, they prefer to have dinner with friends or at their hotel rooms. They even enter and exit through the parking lot in order to avoid the lobby, and the many curious people and paparazzi that are awaiting to document their every move. The only common area they both frequent is the gym where the Noor of Jordan exercises to keep her amazing figure.

Sources close to the couple affirm that they are soul mates and were born to be together. Since the death of their corresponding spouses in 1999, Noor has been devoted to the memory of King Hussein while Slim has erected a museum and other art projects dedicated to Soumaya. The most amazing coincidence is that Noor lost her husband on February 7 and the very next day, Slim went through the same ordeal.

Last but not least, both are from Lebanese ancestry and strongly share their common cultural identity. They are very involved in philanthropic activities, and they don’t need a “stimulus package” to survive the global crisis. Both are wealthy and enjoy a huge fortune.

It figures. The Lebanese are the best salesmen in the world. They do well wherever they go. Australia, Africa, Canada, the U S, Mexico, Central and South America. You disparages of this man, go put tires on the roof or your trailer before the wind blows it off. The article did not state all the millions Carlos Slim Helu' has given for college scholarships to Mexicans. Do you think the average Mexican would be better off if he did not have billions? Would Americans be better off if Gates or Henry Ford or Warren B did not make billions?
